The village, Corte Sant'Andrea, is located in Italy and Lodi province. It is situated between the River Po and expansive agricultural fields, and is surrounded by natural landscape. Upon visiting the site, the presence of water was observed, as evidenced by the River Po and existing water canals, which have an important impact on the micro-climate in the area. Given the prevalence of agricultural fields, it is apparent that the primary source of economic activity is related to farming.
The aim of this project is to rehabilitate the village from depopulation by improving its Socio-economic condition and physical context of village.
In this project, Several analyses were performed to understand the site and identify factors that could affect the design, such as:
Historical analysis
Territorial analysis
Socio-cultural analysis
Population density
Climate analysis
Building condition analysis
